CTAAFSC Call for Papers Application (CEU and Non-CEU)

Applicants will be notified by Friday, October 23, 2009 if their application has been accepted. The conference program will be available to applicants in January 2010. If your submission is accepted, all presentation materials (handouts, PowerPoints, etc.) are due January 11, 2010.

Call for Paper Requirements

  1. Identify whether applying for a Credit Education Unit (CEU): a. No-CEU: For general public, families, consumers and professionals OR b. CEU: For healthcare professionals seeking CEU’s. The general public, families, and consumers are invited to attend these sessions;
  2. Abstracts must be no longer than 250 words; anything exceeding this limit will not be included;
  3. Submit a complete profile if applying for CEU’s. A clearly articulated goal and intended learning outcomes constitutes a complete profile.  Abstracts applying for CEU’s without a completed profile will not be accepted;
  4. The author’s name can not appear anywhere on the abstract;
  5. Must indicate presentation category theme as related to submitted abstract.


Abstract Submissions and Topics

The CTAASFC welcomes submissions on topics such mental health, chemical dependency, criminal justice, cultural competency, etc. The CTAAFSC is accepting abstracts for Workshops, Tutorials, Presentations, Panel Discussions, and Films. These abstracts are used by the panel of judges to make an informed decision during the selection process and provide conference attendees information about your session.


Session Format

All sessions are one and a half hours long (90 minutes) and should include time for the presentation and audience questions. Most sessions will have 50 to 70 attendees.
